Altagracia A. Davis


Altagracia A. Davis is a founding partner of Davis & Morehouse.  She attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and Hofstra University School of Law.  She was admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York in 1990.  Altagracia commenced her legal career as an associate with the law firm of Fine, Olin & Anderman.  In 1996, she became a partner with that firm, handling Workers’ Compensation claims, Social Security Disability claims, and other allied matters.

In 1999, Altagracia became a founding partner in the firm of Davis & Venturini.  She continued to represent Workers’ Compensation clients.  Altagracia is now the founding partner of Davis & Morehouse.  She is proud to have served her clients before the New York Workers’ Compensation Board for 30 years.  As an expert litigator and negotiator, her numerous successes advocating for her clients have resulted in significant savings for employers and carriers.

Altagracia is fluent in Spanish, which serves her well during hearings before the Board.

Christine Morehouse


Christine Morehouse graduated from the University of Connecticut and then attended Brooklyn Law School.  Following graduation and admittance to the New York State Bar, she worked as an appellate attorney for the State of New York.  Christine then became the managing attorney for the personal injury litigation law firm of John K. Avanzino, PC in Brooklyn, New York and remained in that position from 1992 until 2005.  Following her passion for writing and editing, Christine worked as a literary agent for Dunham Literary and the Denise Marcil Literary Agency, both in New York City, until November of 2010.

Christine joined the law firm of Davis & Venturini in 2010.  She specializes in legal research and writing of appeals to the Workers’ Compensation Board, as well as to the Supreme Court, Appellate Division of the State of New York.

As a partner now with Davis & Morehouse, she is continuing her appellate work, as well as representing clients at hearings.  Christine is also an expert in the recovery of third-party action liens and advising clients regarding loss transfer claims.

Pauline T. Castillo


Pauline Castillo graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and is admitted to the bar in New York and California.  After moving to New York in 1999, Ms. Castillo joined the firm of Stewart, Greenblatt, Manning & Baez, where she gained experience in a variety of Workers’ Compensation cases including complex cases involving occupational lung diseases.

In August 2001, Ms. Castillo joined the firm of Davis & Venturini where she further honed her litigation experience at hearings, and during depositions of medical and vocational professionals.  Pauline now heads the deposition department of the firm of Davis & Morehouse and sees the cases through from the handling of the depositions to the preparation and filing of comprehensive written summations submitted to the Workers’ Compensation Board.  Pauline’s extensive knowledge of the new Medical Treatment Guidelines and the 2018 Permanency Guidelines enables her to expertly depose medical professionals in all aspects of a worker’s injuries.

Andrea Lioio


Andrea Lioio has worked in the legal field since 2001 and became a legal secretary with Davis & Venturini in 2007.  She is now an invaluable member of Davis & Morehouse.  Andrea’s experience supporting attorneys and working with claims examiners, in the area of Workers’ Compensation Law continues to benefit the firm and its clients on a daily basis. 

Andrea prides herself on being detail-oriented and quality-conscious.  She has completed several professional courses in paralegal studies and is advanced in Microsoft Office skills, including the use of technological portals for client billing, as well as Excel and Microsoft Word.
